As a strong superplasticizer it is adsorbed onto the cement particles, which are wetted with a thin film. This reduces internal friction, thus enhancing the workability of the cement mortar and fresh concrete. It gives the concrete tixotropic properties, which means that the concrete does not segregate in spite of its extremely plastic consistency. The mineral aggregate particles are not separated from the cement paste. Colour: transparent to muddy yellow. Chloride-free KEMAMENT L20 is a sulphonated melamine based polycondensation product.
