The represented case is showing the outdoor basement wall made of bricks, that is exposed to field moisture and trickling through of water till certain height. The wall is unapproachable from outside because of the nearest building or sidewalk. At the basement it is provided enough airing. At that kind of case we suggest the followed process of restoration:
  • Removal of existing plaster till the stabile surface including with cleaning and deepening of joint widths
  • Making the rounding off with ready-to-use quick-setting compound HIDROSTOP KIT on the connection floor concrete board – wall
  • Putting on the concrete plaster (sulfate-resistant) on the wall till the height of possible trickling through of water
  • Putting on HYDROMENT drying plaster at the approximate height of 0.7 m over the line of visible moisture
  • Putting on KEMASAN 520 and KEMASAN 520F plaster at the spots above the made drying plaster
  • Putting on the flexible waterproof layer HIDROSTOP ELASTIK at the floor surface with crossing to the wall, up to the height of possible trickling through of water; put on 2 times with brush or metal polishing tool; layer is reinforced with plaster with glass net
  • Protection of floor-walking surface with ceramic lining by using the flexible polymer cement adhesive KEMAKOL FLEX 170, KEMAKOL PLAST 190 or KEMAKOL RAPID 193
  • Colour treatment of restored surfaces with steam-permeable colours (limy, silicate, silicone)
